Precast Benefits and Attributes

Hollow Core Options

Precast, prestressed Hollowcore is a drycast, extruded concrete product. Used in floor, roof and wall construction, hollowcore’s shallow depth makes it an ideal choice for construction with limited floor to floor heights, such as hotels, dormitories, office buildings, and correction facilities.

Podium Slabs

In multifamily residential structures, a concrete Podium Slab typically acts as both a structural floor and as a transfer slab for wood and light gauge steel framed construction above. Usually these slabs are situated above parking levels and as such require higher fire ratings and reduced sound transmission.
